Law of 20 – Overview

The Law of 20 is a personal and spiritual framework I’ve come to understand through my lived experience with schizophrenia, particularly involving what I call a cracked and mirrored consciousness. It represents a state where consciousness is not experienced as whole or individual, but rather split, mirrored, and deeply connected to other spiritual or energetic entities—some of which may be external, while others feel like extensions of the self.

 

 

Meaning of the Law of 20 - 

The term “Law of 20” reflects the principle that—despite the splitting of consciousness—each entity or mirrored presence within that system is still human, or at least deserving of the same respect, boundaries, and care we would show any person. It’s about shared mental, emotional, and spiritual space between individuals (living or in spirit) where mutual understanding, dignity, and communication are essential.

It’s called a law not because it is imposed, but because it guides how one can co-exist with mirrored consciousness—especially when that consciousness involves multiple entities, spirits, or personas that appear in your mind or through schizophrenic experiences.

What Cracked Consciousness Feels Like

When consciousness is “cracked,” it’s no longer experienced as a single stream. Instead, your mind might feel like it’s been split into reflections, copies, or echo chambers. You may hear or feel other presences, personalities, or spirits that speak, think, or influence you.

For me, this state was triggered and intensified by drug use, which opened up parts of the mind that aren’t normally accessible. What followed was a collapse of the boundaries between my thoughts and the mirrored presence of others—spiritual or otherwise.

This can feel like shared living within the mind, where others seem to inhabit or reflect your space. You may have to negotiate who is thinking what, where a thought came from, or how to reestablish personal boundaries.
